Mock Trial Team

Borne of the overwhelming interest in and success of our Mediation Team, UTD started a Mock Trial Team in Fall 2006.   Teams consisting of counsel and witnesses compete in a mock criminal or civil trial against other schools.  Weekly meetings of the Mock Trial Club will allow members to prepare for the case released by the American Mock Trial Association.  Our team will compete in scrimmages and an invitational tournament at Baylor in the fall to gain experience and participate in a regional tournament and hopefully score enough points to participate in a national competition in Spring 2008.  Students interested in participating in Mock Trial should contact Dr. Champagne or Barbara Kirby.
