News from the Director

  • Congratulations to UTD's first Marshall Scholar, Sophie Rutenbar. Sophie will be studying conflict resolution at Oxford University.
  • Congratulations to the  following CV students who were selected as Archer Fellows for fall 2007 or Spring 2008 semesters: Amber Jessica Ahmed, Dan Romine, Ben Yelverton, Sara Clingan, and Krista Kay.
  • We have filled the Collegium V incoming class for the fall 2007 semester.  We will begin processing applications for Fall 2008 in early February.  Contact Collegium V for more information.
  • The CV Lounge is open for business.  If you are a new student and need a code to get in, contact Gina Felts.
  • Students planning to graduate in spring 2008 should schedule an appointment with Dr. Harpham as soon as possible to go over their file.
  • Java Friday socials will be held in the lounge beginning Friday January 11 from 12 - 1 pm
  • The CV (and UTD Gaming Group) entry to the UTD Homecoming Parade won first prize this year. James Bond's tank will never be remembered the same. Congratulations to all involved.
  • The CV entries to the cardboard regatta did not fare as well. (Who said that electrical engineers could build a boat anyway.)
  • The first issue of the CV's newletter, the Collegium Vitae, is now available at Collegium Vitae Newsletter.
